Just because we live in the capital city, doesn’t mean we have to miss out on an epic state fair! The 10th Annual DC State Fair will be hosted on September 8th at Gateway DC at St. Elizabeth’s East on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue. Taking place 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the event is free for all with a goal of showcasing local artistic and agricultural talent. 

One of the fan favorites is the Pet Parade, where the cutest competitors strut their stuff to win titles like owner/ pet lookalike and longest sit-stay. On the day of the event other on-site contests include sloppy joe and ice cream eating competitions, best tattoo, best mustache and more – do you have what it takes to enter?
