It’s officially harvest season, and that means the weekly Capital Harvest on the Plaza is filled with an abundance of farm-fresh produce and artisanal cheese, baked goods, and more. Stop by DC’s Woodrow Wilson Plaza any Friday afternoon between now and November 18th to do your grocery shopping, to pick up a special treat for immediate snacking, or simply to wander through the colorful booths and admire the wares.

In addition to tables full of red and green peppers, crisp heads of lettuce, earthy turnips, and colorful squash, you’ll find specialty foods that can make any meal special. For example, stop at the olive oil booth for a bottle of herb-infused extra virgin oil, or swing by the creamery table, where you’ll find freshly-made ice cream in a variety of flavors. Caramel popcorn is sold at another booth, while spicy kimchee, tangy saurkraut, and sour pickles are sold a few tents down.
