National Gallery of Art’s Free Jazz in the Garden Concert Series

It’s that time of year again! The National Gallery of Art’s Free Jazz in the Garden Concert Series is officially back for the season. Every Friday all summer long, you can grab your friends and listen to the sweet sounds of local artists on the lawn on Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive between 7th and 9th Streets NW.

The events run from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekly through August 23rd, weather permitting. You can check the website for updates on a rainy day, or to see the current schedule of events. The lineup for the summer includes smooth Jazz, vintage swing and alternative modern, as well as internationally-inspired tunes from Brazilian to Caribbean that will have you feeling as if you’re on a far-flung summer vacation. There’s a concessions menu full of sandwiches, burgers on the grill, and alcohol like sangria or your favorite local brew so you can grab dinner while you enjoy.
