If you associate a crisp cocktail with a balmy summer's day, the newly opened Grand Duchess is about to show you that cocktails can warm you up in the winter months, too. In fact, its Winter in Paradise creation was specifically designed to do just that. The base of rum mingles with pine liqueur, chocolate mole bitters, and a dash of cinnamon, resulting in a belly-warming libation.
The Cinnamon Girl also heats things up with bourbon, amaro, apple bitters, faux egg white foam, and a dusting of cinnamon. If you're looking for something more traditional, Grand Duchess also offers Moscow Mules with the house's own ginger beer and Old Fashioneds, as well as wine and craft beer. Any of the drinks pair well with the gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches served here. Try the Audrey with tomato, mozzarella, and pesto or the slightly sweet Kathleen with Raschera cheese, prosciutto, and fig jam. Just make sure to save some room for the Drunken Affogato, a scoop of vanilla gelato drowned in hot La Colombe espresso and Frangelico.
