This upscale yet cozy eatery near Hodge on 7th is run by head chef Tom Powers, a well-known name in the Washington culinary world, and his menu boasts creative takes on simple, seasonal foods. The menu is constantly changing to keep up with what’s in season, which is why everything at Corduroy tastes so fresh and flavorful.

The selection of first courses consists of small plates, salads, and soups that give your palate a warm-up. Next, second course entrees highlight premium meats and seafood, which are combined with local side dishes to create a delight for the senses that you won’t soon forget. If you really want to get the full Corduroy experience, however, order the Chef’s Surprise five course tasting menu and pair it with a great wine.
