Bundy Dog Park Promises Off-Leash Fun for Hodge on 7th’s Canine Residents

You don’t need to travel to the country in order for Fido to have green space where he can run around and work off some energy. Instead, just bring him down to join all the other dogs at Bundy Dog Park near Hodge on 7th. Managed by Friends of Bundy Park, a locally-supported, non-profit corporation, the park is funded and maintained by volunteers. It’s these volunteers and donors who provide the park’s dog waste bags, ensure the water jugs are filled, and see to it that the space is well-maintained.

As for the park itself, visitors can expect a swath of land that’s narrow and long — the full length of a soccer field, in fact — so dogs can really reach top speed when they’re racing down the turf. Lined in faux grass, the park is enclosed, so you know that even when your canine companion is off leash he’ll be safely contained within the park.

Bundy Dog Park is open 7 a.m. to dusk daily. The entrance to the park is across the street from Scott Montgomery Elementary School.
