Brixton: Where Hodge on 7th Can Enjoy the Company of Friends Alongside City Views

Brixton is housed in a historic building on U Street that started its life as a corner laundry. Today, it’s a popular destination restaurant and lounge near Hodge on 7th, spread across three different floors, each of which has a different atmosphere. As you enter on the first floor, you’ll find yourself in the main dining room, with its dark wood paneling, exposed brick walls, and wrought iron pedestal tables. Head up a flight of stairs to the lodge bar, and you’ll find yourself in a space reminiscent of a hunting lodge, with comfortable leather banquettes surrounding a fireplace, chandeliers made out of antlers, and a long zinc-topped bar running the length of the room.

Finally, head out to the rooftop deck where you can enjoy happy hour drinks while the sun sets over the city skyline. The roof deck is open through all four seasons, thanks to a heated glass enclosure that goes up during winter months.
