Azi’s Cafe Near Hodge on 7th: Keeping DC Caffeinated Since 2005

cup of coffee with spoon

Since opening in 2005, Azi’s Cafe has become a gathering place for residents of DC’s Shaw neighborhood, and when you visit you’re likely to see a number of regular customers enjoying one of their favorite local hotspots. In the morning, you’ll find people lined up for a quick cappuccino or cup of joe to go. In the afternoon you’ll find a more leisurely crowd, including students, freelancers, and maybe some of your neighbors from Hodge on 7th taking advantage of Azi’s free Wi-Fi to catch up on email, write up a few reports, or research some new ideas.

In addition to the coffee and teas for which this place is most famous, Azi’s has a decent food menu that features bagels and egg sandwiches for breakfast, as well as salads and paninis for the lunch crowd. Dig into a classic Caesar salad, or go for something heartier with a grilled ham and Swiss sandwich.
