Yes, DC has a lot of midwestern transplants. If you’re one of ’em, stop reading: Armand’s will take you home. If not, though, maybe you just love the mountainous, cheesy, chunky delight that is Chicago-style pizza. It warms you when it’s cold outside and, well, gives new definition to soaking up a hangover. Take one home and it’ll feed you for days! Locals say that Armand’s is exactly what you want: chilled out and affordable, with pizza that conjures up long nights on Clark Street. (Sorry, Cubs fans: Old Style isn’t available.) The lunch buffet is a steal — Hill staffers love it — and the location near Hodge on 7th makes it unmissable. If you don’t feel like pizza there’s a big menu of sandwiches, wings, salads, and more — but would you order fish at a steakhouse?
