Republic Cantina Is a New Spot for Mexican Fare

To put it simply, the atmosphere at Republic Cantina is modern, quirky, and fun. The dining room at this newly opened restaurant is strung with multi-colored patio lights, while the huge floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the patio can make it feel like everyone is dining al fresco, even when you’re inside.

The menu is pretty simple: beverages include coffee and tea, as well as beer, wine, and margaritas, while the Tex-Mex food options range from half a dozen different breakfast tacos to enchiladas and sizzling-hot fajitas. Yelp reviewers give special praise to the restaurant’s house-made salsas (which go heavy on the cilantro) and guacamole (which uses cilantro more sparingly). Sides are all offered a la carte, and regulars say it’s best to order several different sides for the table to share (in addition to the standard beans and rice, be sure to try the charro beans with beer and bacon).
