Sip on a Locally Brewed Cider at Porron, a New DC Pub

wine served in glasses

Snowdrift Red rosé cider, ATXA Blanco Vermouth, and blood orange bitters converge in the Ros é-Colored Glasses, a cider-centric cocktail served at Porron by ANXO. This offshoot of the popular DC cidery and restaurant showcases many of ANXO’s own ciders, both flowing from the tap and incorporated into cocktails.

Porron only debuted about five weeks ago, so it’s currently open Thursday through Sunday. That gives you plenty of time to come in and enjoy a pour of cider with a snack or sandwich. On Thursday nights, the menu offers snacks like roasted almonds and cheese and charcuterie plates, as well as a handful of larger options like the Anxo burger. The list of food expands on weekends, however, when Timber Pizza Co. (another local business) provides empanadas and wood-fired pizzas. Lost Sock Roasters supplies coffee in the a.m.
