There is still time to visit the Riverfront Capital Farmers Market and enjoy the fresh flavors of summer, as well as artisanal prepared foods. The market runs each Sunday through September 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Yards Park, adjacent to Canal Park between the Capitol and Anacostia River.

Here, you can buy locally grown produce, meats and cheeses, baked goods, and other prepared foods from some of the best suppliers in DC. The selection rotates weekly, but you can expect to see everything from locally roasted coffee from Zeke’s Coffee to cut flowers, fruits, and vegetables from Loblolly Organic Farm. The Riverfront Capital Farmers Market is brought to DC by the Farmfresh organization, a non-profit that promotes sustainable agriculture and food access. Visiting one of their farmers markets is a delicious way to contribute to their mission and support local businesses. Go to farmfresh.org to see the full list of farmers and producers participating in the market, or to learn more about the Farmfresh organization.
