Independence Day represents the birthday of the United States of America, so it’s a time to celebrate. It’s truly special to spend the Fourth of July at our nation’s capital of Washington, D.C. at A Capitol Fourth.

This stunning display of patriotism unfolds on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, and it will be broadcast on television throughout the country. It begins with a star-studded concert, which features John Stamos as the host. There will also be performances from The Beach Boys, The Blues Brothers, Mark McGrath and many other stars. After the concert, the evening culminates in awe-inspiring fireworks that, as a resident of D.C., you can see from your neighborhood while others tune into the broadcast on television.
